The data and tissue infrastructure behind CPCT

Data and biomaterial from thousands of patients are centrally available for research that improves the approach to cancer.

Hartwig Medical Foundation

Hartwig Medical database

Data collected in CPCT studies (CPCT-02, DRUP) is made available via the Hartwig Medical Foundation database, one of the largest pan-cancer WGS datasets in the world.

Visualisation

Molecular tumor landscapes

The Hartwig database is one of the largest and most detailed of its kind worldwide. Below is a visual summary of the molecular landscape of tumors from 553 adolescents and young adults (AYA) with cancer, illustrating how rich this data is. Find many more vignettes on Hartwigmedicalfoundation.nl.

Privacy

CPCT and its partners attach great importance to careful handling of patient data:

  • Only with patients' knowledge and consent.
  • Data are coded, without name, date of birth or BSN.
  • Genetic information cannot be traced back to a person by CPCT.
  • Patient reports are returned to the hospital via a secure portal.
  • Researchers sign an agreement with strict conditions.
  • On request, patients can have their data removed.
